Fiji = Bonfire 5 minutes!

pretty much locals LOVE americans and they try everything and anything to get you to be their friend... lol

water here is beyond expensive and i wish I was back home just for the water!

the internet is beyond expensive so i wont be on here much until i arrive in Australia!!!

Bounty Island to Kuata aka AHHHH

First and foremost and definitely most importantly I am an Aunt!!!! That's right, Auntie Day!

His name is Kiefer Killian. I'm in love. He's actually cute!!

Second - just FYI this is going to be short and sweet because our internet access is limited!

Third - Kuata was borderline terrifying. Our room was the last on the end. Our bathroom was cockroach infested. Forcing me to become wilderness woman and I killed a cockroach!
However - Jess made me swim with sharks and it was abosolutely amazing!!

I HAVE TO GO!!

I found that I love snorkeling!!

Bounty Island - Fiji

Bula!

We took a boat from the main island to Bounty Island, purely amazing! Who would've thought - I just graduated college and am now sitting on the beach in Fiji!

Jess and I are staying in Bure 18. One set of bunk beds, a full bed. Hot shower. Mosquito net. Toilet with a half flush and full flush. Don't understand that
Jess and I realized we brought WAY too many clothes. However, not enough food. Yep. Ate all our food the first day. So mom, send food!

Woke up nice and early and Jess and I went for a beautiful morning run around the island. Went for a quick swim, then headed to breakfast. Decided at breakfast to spend some money to come over to Treasure Island mainly just to jump on the internet. Really, just to see if I'm an aunt yet!
(I'm not.)(Yet.) But maybe, since we are a day head.
It's 11:31 am right now on Treasure Island in Fiji. I have no idea what time it is back "home." I'll figure that out eventually.

That's all for now. I'm sweating in this tiny little room that holds the internet. And we have to catch our boat back to Bounty Island.

Unless the internet randomly pops up again, you probably won't here from me again for another couple weeks or so. Also, here's hoping Jess doesn't kill me as we're running in the forest where no one here's a tree fall, let alone me die!

OH!!!!!! We found out yesterday that around our island, we are basically swimming with one of the most deadliest fish in the ocean! Wish me luck!!

Bula Fiji!!

Bula!

We made it to Fiji! Talk about fun times! The flight was only 10 hours so it actually wasn't bad at all! The only 'troubles' we had was the LAX airport being crazy busy and so not organized for the amount of people that were traveling... we seriously waited in line for over an hour just to get our bags checked!!! seriously Lax!?

Anyways, Fiji... We will be here until the 2nd of July traveling around 5 different Islands so this might be my only Blog from Fiji because I don't know how much access I will have to computers after today! (We are currently staying at a lodge right by the airport!) We get picked up tomorrow (Saturday) at 7:15am to start our 'tour' of the islands!

oh and Jess and I have our own PRIVATE room with bathroom so thats a major plus!!! yay!!

We received an email from our 'Boss' from starbucks and we are good to start on the 14th of July at Starbucks so thats exciting!!

The people here all look the same to me. I don't know.. I think it might be the hair style.. ;) Jess and I are probably the only people up right now and its 8:30am... I guess there is a thing called 'Fiji Time' which we guess means 'take your time'... you stand around and wait we've noticed.. BUT they are EXTREMELY nice!!! so thats a major plus!!! we have heard Bula from everyone we passed and its kinda weird..

i kinda got freaked out when I saw someone driving because I forgot its the other side of the road here. oops! lol and JUST like India they are crazy drivers! just cutting people off and such! but hey i didn't see any accidents... yet! lol jk!

okay off to check out the pool and such.. The drink special of the day is "Mexican Chocolate" hmmmm... Interesting... lol Happy hour is from 5:30-6:30!!!! yayyy!!!!

Friday 1:10 am - aka 5 days until I leave...

wow. 5 days and I'll be on a place going somewhere I've never even been..

I have my life packed away in boxes and a backpack...

I can't decide if I'm going to miss it here or not.. I know that might sound 'harsh' but I've lived her ALL of my 22years and well I'm the type that needs to see what else is out there...

Kinda like my India trip.. I just had to see what it was like over there.. :)

I know I will miss my friends and family... Especially my mother... I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without her being a text message away... I can't even think of a day I haven't texted her at least once... I hope to get a phone over there with international text messaging... or at least have a computer with aol instant messaging... whoa.. its starting to hit me about leaving in 5 days!....

I thought leaving Jamie was going to be hard.. but since I don't really see her anymore because of the bf... I'm kinda used to her not really being there anymore... :( I mean I'll miss our nightly talks... but hey maybe she'll email me when she has the time...

I can't even begin to think about how life over there is because well today I found out which Starbucks I'll be working at and well.. looking at Google-earth... my house to where my work is looks like a good LONG walk... lol (I'm not going to have a car while I'm there...) so its going to be either a bike or bus... google earth says 13minutes.. BUT by the looks of it... whoa!!!

oh yeah.. I found a house.. its a sharehouse with 4 other roommates plus jessica... her and I will be sharing a room because its so darn expensive there!!! $280 dollars a WEEK! so, hopefully we won't have to send home a 'dear mom and dad please send money, we're so broke it ain't funny' letter :)

Jess and I will both be working for Starbucks for the first 6 months and during this time we will be in Brisbane... after the 6 months... who knows for sure where we will go... but we pretty much just decided on settling down for 6 months to get used to everything down there and then travel around...
